We developed a robust AI-powered personal assistant system that seamlessly integrates with Telegram, enabling real-time task execution through natural conversation. The assistant intelligently understands both voice and text input using OpenAI’s advanced language and transcription models.
The system is capable of performing a range of tasks including sending and reading emails, retrieving calendar events, updating lead records in Airtable, and generating YouTube content ideas. These features were made accessible through a single conversational interface for the end-user.
We used n8n’s workflow automation engine to orchestrate all back-end operations, integrating OpenAI’s GPT and Whisper for understanding natural language and voice. The Telegram bot was configured as the front-end trigger, routing user inputs into an AI Agent node which determined the right tool to call. We built reusable workflows for sending emails, fetching calendar events, and interacting with Airtable databases. Each module was designed to dynamically map user input to API calls. The agent was trained with structured prompts that guided it to select and execute the right tools autonomously based on the user’s intent.
With full automation built in n8n, this assistant acts as a central command center for daily operations—offering quick access to essential tools via a simple Telegram message. This greatly enhanced the client’s productivity and workflow efficiency.
